LIC has launched its WhatsApp services (Reuters)

WhatsApp can be found installed in almost everyone's smartphone. The application is not only being used by people to communicate with their relatives, friends, and colleagues, but is also used by several companies to spread information and let people enjoy some services on their phone. Now, the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) too has been added to the list. LIC has also started its services on WhatsApp starting December 2022 and the registered policyholders can now avail the services for better communication with the insurance company using their phone.

The services that can be availed by the policyholders include Premium statement, ULIP plan statement, Loan repayment quotation, bonus information, and more through WhatsApp chat box. All that the policyholders need to do in order to start LIC WhatsApp services is that they will have to send a 'Hi' message on mobile number 8976862090.

Informing about the same LIC in a release said, "Chairperson, LIC of India Shri M.R. Kumar launched LIC's select interactive services with its Policyholders on WhatsApp. Policyholders who have registered their Policies on the LIC Portal will be able to make use of these services on WhatsApp by saying ‘Hi' on Mobile No. 8976862090. Following Screen will help Policyholders to avail listed services."

How to use LIC WhatsApp services

Step 1:

Go to your phone's contacts and save the official WhatsApp Number of LIC which is 8976862090.

Step 2:

Send 'Hi' on the chat box of LIC India.

Step 3:

Then the LIC WhatsApp will automatically send you a list of 11 options.

Step 4:

Choose your preferred option.

Step 5:

The LIC WhatsApp will share with you the required details

Step 6:

It needs to be noted that LIC customers are required to follow these steps only after they have registered their policy online on the website of LIC.
