Apple's voice assistant, Siri has become an important tool for all iPhone, iPad users. Whether you are using an iPhone or an iPad, Siri can answer all your queries. Ask her to launch an app, create reminders or set an alarm for you, call anyone, and much more and it will be done. However, you may think that you need the internet to talk to Siri, right? That's not the case here! Over a period of time, Siri has got better with every new Apple update. Who can access offline Siri?

Apple's voice assistant is here to convert your speech commands into actions. You will need to just say, "Hey, Siri!" and continue to ask questions. To use Siri offline, you will first need to ensure that your iPhone is running on iOS 15.

So, what has really made this possible? Well, last year, with the rollout of iOS 15, Apple moved the speech recognition capabilities from its servers to your iPhone.

However, you should note that Siri can't perform web searches that require an active internet connection. But still, there are several tasks that Siri can do for you when you don't have internet, such as setting timers and alarms, changing themes, launching apps, music control, calling someone, changing Settings, and reading messages and notifications.

How to use Siri offline on iPhones or iPads

Step 1:

First of all, open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. 

Step 2:

Now, scroll down and tap on the option - Siri & Search. 

Step 3:

You will need to click on Language and select English (United States). 

Step 4:

After that, go back to the main Siri & Search page in the Settings.

Step 5:

Here, you will need to make sure that the toggle bar next to Listen for “Hey Siri” is turned on towards the right.

Step 6:

Now, tap Siri Responses and move the toggle next to the following. 

Step 7:

Allow the Always Show Siri Captions and Always Show Speech.

Step 8:

Once you have made all the necessary changes, you will be able to talk to Siri offline on your iPhone or iPad.
