Do you have a YouTube Shorts channel? How many subscribers do you have? Creating a YouTube Shorts channel is easy but it requires lots of effort and interesting content to make it a success. Every creator on YouTube has her or his own definition of success, may it be an unique idea, ability to express themselves creatively, or something else. However, above all, what is required, is passion. And this has been proved by YouTube Shorts video creator Dushyant Kukreja. He was driven by a passion for storytelling and an ambition to convert that into a lucrative career.

The newest format available on YouTube is Shorts and if you have struggled with the long video format, then this should be ideal for you. The important part of YouTube Shorts videos is that you have to capture the moment, or an event, in a very short period. So forget about making 3-minute or longer videos here and focus on seconds. Shorts has allowed creators to showcase their creativity uniquely and engage in different ways, whether they are just getting started on the platform or are existing YouTube creators looking to test a new approach.

So, do you know what it takes to build your YouTube channel from nearly 0 to subscribers to tens of millions? Here is what creator Dushyant Kukreja has to say.

"When I first came to YouTube in 2016, I found it difficult to break in with long form videos, and eventually lost steam. But, I was determined to convert my passion into a profession and I relaunched my channel in 2019," He said.

"I began posting Shorts as an experiment as I was eager to grow my fledgling channel and build my community. After analyzing the audience's preferences, I formulated a Shorts programming and content strategy to help me be more consistent. And, this paid off! Today, I have more than 16 million subscribers, and my next goal is to reach 20 million subscribers. I want to keep going and I want the whole world to watch my Shorts!,” Dushyant said.

What is YouTube Shorts

Shorts is the spot to shoot, share and binge short videos (think 60 seconds or less) on YouTube. It's where you can go to start trends, try out a dance challenge, bring your hilarious ideas to life, and more.

How to create YouTube Short
