The release date of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) 12th installment is finally here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be releasing the PM Kisan 12th Installment on Monday, October 17, 2022. "In a reflection of the continued commitment of the Prime Minister towards welfare of the farmers, during the event, Prime Minister will release the 12th instalment amount of Rs. 16,000 crores under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) through Direct Benefit Transfer," Prime Minister's Office informed.

It can be known that under the PM Kisan scheme, eligible farmer families are provided a benefit of Rs. 6000 per year in three equal installments of Rs. 2000 each. So far, eligible farmer families have received benefits of more than Rs. 2 lakh crore under PM-KISAN, according to the information provided by the PMO.

Once released the amount under the PM Kisan 12th installment will directly be credited to the registered farmers bank accounts. Also, farmers who have registered to the scheme need to complete their KYC in order to get the PM Kisan installments in their bank account. According to PM Kisan Portal, “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC."

Under the PM Kisan 12th Installment a sum of Rs. 2000 will be credited to the bank accounts of every eligible registered farmer. Once released, you will also be able to check the PM Kisan 12th installment status online via its website or app. Check the steps below:

How to check PM Kisan 12th installment status via PM Kisan Mobile App

1. Download the PM Kisan Mobile Application from the official website of PM Kisan or click on the link- https://pmkisan.gov.in/.

2. You can also directly go to the Google Play store on your Android device and type PM Kisan App and can download it from there as well.

3. Then click on the Beneficiary Status and provide all the details asked for.

How to check PM Kisan 12th Installment status via PM Kisan website

Step 1:

Visit the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi website at pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2:

Click on the 'Beneficiary Status' tab. You can find it on the home page. Provide the required details asked for.

Step 3:

Then, click on 'Get Data' and the details will be displayed on the screen of your device.
