PM Kisan eKYC deadline extended till July 31; Here is how to do it online

The central government on Saturday extended the last date for making PM Kisan account KYC compliance to July 31, 2022. It can be noted that earlier the deadline for making PM Kisan account KYC compliance was May 31, 2022. According to PM Kisan Portal “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC. Deadline of eKYC for all the PMKISAN beneficiaries has been extended till 31st July 2022."

Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on May 31, 2022 released the 11th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, by fixing an amount of around Rs. 21,000 crore for 10 Crore farmers. Farmers are advised to complete the KYC norms on or before the new deadline in order to be eligible to receive the benefit under the PM Kisan scheme.

The PM Kisan scheme is a central sector scheme that was started to provide income support to all landholding farmers' families in the country to supplement their financial needs for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs.

An annual financial benefit of Rs. 6,000 is being provided to eligible beneficiary farmer families under the scheme. The amount is credited directly to the bank account of the famers in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each, every 4th month. PM Kisan: Steps to complete the eKYC process

Step 1:

Go to the official website of PM Kisan or click on the link- http://pmkisan.nic.in/.

Step 2:

Look for the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the homepage and click on ‘eKYC’ mentioned under it.

Step 3:

As you will click on the eKYC option, you will be redirected to the ‘OTP Based Ekyc’ page where you need to enter your Aadhaar number and then click on ‘Search’.

Step 4:

Enter your mobile number which is linked with Aadhaar, once your Aadhaar number is displayed. You will then have to click on ‘Get OTP’.

Step 5:

Enter the OTP in the required field received on your phone and proceed further.

Step 6:

As the OTP is verified and all the details match, the eKYC process will be successfully completed.
