The East Central Railways is hiring candidates who wish to take up an apprenticeship post with the Railways in order to impart training, the government body recently announced. The Railway Recruitment Cell is currently inviting applicants who wish to work for the railways to apply for over two thousand vacancies in apprentice posts in the country.

Eligible candidates can visit the official RRC website and apply for an East Central Railways (ECR) apprenticeship form to apply for the position, and applications will close on November 5, 2021. However, the RRC has advised candidates to submit their application before the closing date to avoid a last-minute rush that could cause a heavy load on the website on the last days. Candidates can apply for the post online, which will come in handy considering the novel coronavirus pandemic situation.

Railway recruitment online: Check eligibility

In order to apply, candidates who are applying for the role will need to have passed their class 10 exams from a recognized school board and they must also have an ITI certificate from a recognised institute, according to a report by India Today. Candidates must also be between the ages of 15 and 24 years to apply for the post.

Step 1) Eligible candidates can visit the RRC website and click on the notification that says Engagement of Act Apprentice”.

Step 2) After registering online, they must fill their details and information.

Step 3) From the candidate dashboard, they can then fill the application form, after which a registration fee of 100 will need to be paid.

Step 4) After submitting the form, a Registration Number will be issued, which must be preserved for further stages of recruitment process/correspondence with RRC.
