Are you a pensioner and have to submit life certificate? For pensioners who draw their pensions from the State Bank of India (SBI), there is good news. SBI has informed that from now on, pensioners can submit their life certificates through the Video Life Certificate service of the bank. The information was provided by the bank over its official Twitter handle where it said," It only takes a video call! Here's a good news for our pensioner customers. Now you can submit your Life Certificate through our Video Life Certificate service from the comfort of your space."
For those who do not know, Life certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra is a biometric enabled Aadhaar-based certificate for pensioners. It is generated for individual pensioners using their Aadhaar number and Biometrics. SBI has also informed about the steps by which pensioners can submit the certificate via video call. Now, if you have to submit the same and you are an SBI customer then you can follow the below given simple steps.

How to submit life certificate through video call?
Step 1: To submit the life certificate pensioners will first have to login to the official SBI Pension Seva website or can click on the link- https://www.pensionseva.sbi/.
Step 2: From the website pensioners will have to click on the 'Video LC' option in order to initiate the VLC process.
Step 3: After this the pensioner will have to enter your SBI pension account number.
Step 4: Then enter the OTP received.
Step 5: The pensioner will have to read and accept the 'Terms and Conditions' and then click on 'Start Journey'.
Step 6: Pensioners need to keep original PAN card with you and click on 'I am ready'.
Step 7: After this the pensioner will have to grant permission to start the video call.
Step 8: The interaction will begin as soon as the SBI official is available. It can be noted here that the interaction can be scheduled as per the convenience of the customer.
Step 9: The SBI official will ask the pensioner to read out the four-digit verification code on the screen.
Step 10: Now, the pensioner will have to show the PAN card so that the SBI official can capture it.
Step 11: Finally, the SBI official will then capture the picture of the pensioner.
Pensioners must note that the process of submitting video life certificate will be completed after completing the above-mentioned steps. The pensioners must also remember that in case of rejection, the customer will be informed through SMS on his or her registered mobile number.
In case of rejection the pensioner will have to visit the pension paying branch or the nearest branch for the submission of the life certificate.
