State Bank of India launched SBI KIsan Credit Card to provide farmers financial assistance at a very low interest rate. Under this scheme, farmers can avail loans of up to ₹3 to 4 lakhs at a very low interest of 7% per annum. Additionally, they can also avail a subvention of 2.00% per annum on loans up to Rs. 3.00 lakh. They can spend the loan amount for farming equipment or food and seeds. What is an SBI Kisan Credit Card and how does it help farmers?

SBI Kisan Credit card was introduced by SBI to provide loans to farmers for the purchase of agricultural commodities including fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides, among other things. The main aim of this scheme is to eliminate the need of farmers to borrow money from moneylenders who charge arbitrary interest and exploit them.

SBI Kisan Credit Card: Who can apply?

Any individual farmer, joint cultivator owners, Tenant farmers, oral lessees and sharecroppers etc., can apply for this credit card. Self Help Groups and Joint liability groups including tenant farmers can also avail SBI Kisan credit card.

SBI Kisan Credit Card: Documents required

PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter's ID Card, Passport, Driving License or any other government approved photo ID as ID proof.

Aadhaar Card, Passport, Utility bills (not more than 3 months old) or Any other government approved address proof.

If you have a State Bank of India (SBI) account, you can apply through the SBI YONO App. Go to the YONO’s agriculture website 

Step 2:

Next select the option with the account.

Step 3:

Proceed to the Kisan Credit Card Review Section and select the application option.

Complete all the required fields on the website and submit.
