You must have heard about the Wordle game that has taken the world by storm and has become one of the biggest internet sensations of all time virtually overnight. However, if you are not aware about this fascinating word game, we are here to explain it to you. Wordle- as the name suggests- is a word game played online and has been acquired by the New York Times recently from its creator Josh Wardle. You can play the game free of cost and you have six attempts to come up with a 5-letter word to win. There is a new game every day. If you want to play the game, then the only thing you require is an internet connection.

What is Wordle? "Wordle is a daily word game where players have six attempts to guess a five letter word. Feedback for each guess is given in the form of colored tiles to indicate if letters match the correct position," informed the New York Times. It is fun, easy to play and is similar to crossword or other mobile games related to guessing the word available on the Google Play Store and App Store.

However, you can play the other word games several times a day, but that is not the case with Wordle. It can be played only once a day and you have to guess a single word. After every 24 hours there is a new word of the day, and it is you who has to figure it out.

Step 1:

You will get six chances to guess the right word consisting of five letters. Every time you guess a correct alphabet in its right position in the word you will get a green coloured hint.

Step 2:

In case you guess a correct letter but the positioning of the same is wrong then it will be highlighted with the yellow colour.

Step 3:

And any alphabets that are not in the word will be indicated to you in black colour highlights.

Step 4:

Once you guess a word you will have to hit the enter button to submit. It needs to be noted that after each guess, the colour of the tiles will change to show how close your guess was.
