WhatsApp update: Voice waveforms for chat bubbles! Know how to make it work
- In latest WhatsApp update, the app is rolling out voice waveforms for chat bubbles that will be available to select beta testers.
WhatsApp is continuously trying to add on some exciting features and updates which will in turn enhance the user experience and performance of the messaging application. According to the latest update, WhatsApp is rolling out voice waveforms for chat bubbles. As per the information provided by WABetaInfo, a new layout for voice notes is available to select beta testers on WhatsApp beta. Also, it needs to be noted that it will be available for Android and iOS.
WABeta informed about the same via a tweet,"WhatsApp is rolling out voice waveforms for chat bubbles! A new layout for voice notes is available to select beta testers on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS." WABeta further said in a report that it had informed 6 months ago that WhatsApp was working on a new experience while playing voice notes, thanks to a new interface: the possibility to see voice waveforms in your chat bubbles.

In reality, WhatsApp has already enabled this layout in the WhatsApp beta for Android 184.108.40.206 version, but that was temporarily only as the feature has been disabled after a new update. Finally, WhatsApp released the new layout to select WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS testers on December 4, the report added.
Launch specific beta testers can now see voice waveforms in chat bubbles, but not always. As per the information provided you can see voice waveforms for your voice notes if the feature is enabled for your WhatsApp account. But voice waveforms may still not show up when receiving a voice note from someone that has the feature disabled or when the voice note has been recorded using an old version of WhatsApp.
WABetaInfo has recently also informed that WhatsApp has released a new feature to explore the Sticker Store directly from the web/desktop client. "After implementing a new way to create stickers from images on WhatsApp Desktop beta, WhatsApp is now releasing a new feature to explore the Sticker Store directly from the web/desktop client!," it said on December 2.
Users can open the new Sticker Store by simply tapping the plus icon in the sticker tray. The Sticker Store contains the same sticker packs you see on your device, but it works differently as you cannot download the sticker pack, but you can pick a specific sticker from a sticker pack to send to the chat.
WhatsApp has also added a new small feature through which you can tap a sticker in the chat to see the sticker pack it belongs to. This feature is available to beta testers that use the latest update of WhatsApp Desktop beta, WABetaInfo informed.
