How to use WhatsApp’s animated stickers

WhatsApp's animated stickers are here for everyone to use. Haven't tried them yet? Here's what you need to do.

WhatsApp has recently rolled out animated stickers for both Android and iOS apps and you can start using them right now. You just need to make sure that your app is updated to the latest version, otherwise these animated stickers will not be visible to you, nor will you be able to use them.

You can find these animated sticker apps at the same place WhatsApp stores all the stickers. Before you start using them, head over to the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store to make sure your WhatsApp is updated.

Once you are ready to go, here's what you must do next -

- Open any chat on WhatsApp and tap on the emoji button.

- Select the stickers option and click on the ‘+' icon.

- Here, you'll find the list of sticker packs that are available for download.

- The new animated stickers have a play button on top so they are easier to identify.

- To download these animated sticker packs simply tap on the down arrow icon.

- Once it's downloaded you'll see them appear in the sticker tab and you can use them just like you use your normal non-animated stickers.

You can also save animated stickers your friends share with you just like you save stickers. Click on the sticker and add to favourites.

Right now, WhatsApp has a couple of animated sticker packs like Chummy Chum Chums, Rico's Sweet Life, Playful Piyomaru, Bright Days and Moody Foodies - admittedly not too many options. But surely new packs will get added soon. You can always delete these packs whenever you want.
