Google Pay is now available in Hinglish! Yes, that is a mishmash of Hindi and English languages that is especially in use by the youth considering that it can provide some delightful turn of phrases. Back in 2021, Google announced that it will introduce an option for Indian users to use the digital wallet platform in the Hinglish language - a hybrid of English and Hindi languages. And now, finally, the Google Pay app is available with the Hinglish language option in India. To make the app more user-friendly, Google has announced Hinglish language in addition to the text-to-speech, split bills, and the MyShop features. So once you opt for this language on the Google Pay app, some of the options will be shown in Hinglish. Such as, “New Payment” will read as “Naya Payment,” while “Show transaction history” will be translated to “Transaction History Dekhein,” and more like that.

This is not the first language that is targeting Indian users. Hinglish on Google Pay joins the already existing Indian languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu. The option to choose this new language on Google Pay is available for Android as well as Apple iPhone users. All you need to ensure is that your Google Pay app is running on the latest updated version. How to enable Hinglish language on Google Pay on Android and iPhones

Step 1:

To use your Google Pay app in Hinglish just follow some simple steps. First of all open your Google Pay on Android or iPhone smartphones. 

Step 2:

Now tap on the profile picture available in the top right corner of the app.

Step 3:

Here, you will find the option of Settings and the Payments Info option.

Step 4:

After that click on the Personal Info option.

Step 5:

Tap on the Language option, and select “Change.”

Step 6:

Here you will get the list of available languages that you can choose from. 

Step 7:

Select Hinglish as your preferred language and it’s done! You can use your Google Pay app in the Hinglish language now.
