Separately, WhatsApp is planning to work on improving the visibility of business accounts on its platform. One way the popular messaging app does this is by highlighting the registered businesses with a green tick mark. Now, the company is working on improving this further and helping its users distinguish between business accounts and regular accounts. WhatsApp is doing this by putting the ‘Business Account' tag right below the name of the business and the green tick in the chat window.
Additionally, WhatsApp used to give a simple message to let users know that their chats were end-to-end encrypted when they first interacted with a business. Now, the company, in an expanded message is giving WhatsApp users access to more information regarding how chats with business work. These changes are visible in WhatsApp beta for Android version 18.104.22.168 and WhatsApp beta for iOS version 22.214.171.124.
