Do you have a Google account? If yes, you must be aware of Google Drive. You may know that Google Drive is a service provided by Google where you can store files and synchronize them and this can be done on iPhone, Computer and Android phone. However, in order to easily access your files you need to organize your files in Drive, you can create folders to make files easier to find and share with others. It can be noted that if you organize a lot of files or folders at once, it might take time for you to see the changes.

You can create, move, copy files and do a lot more with the help of Google Drive on iPhone, Computer, Android phone and iPad. If you are also planning to organize your files in Google Drive, here is a step-by-step guide for your reference.

Google Drive: Create a folder on iPhone, iPad, computer, Android phone or tablet

1. On your computer go to drive.google.com. while on Android phone or tablet, iPhone and iPad go to Google Drive app.

2. On the left, click New and then Folder on the computer. While on the Android or iOS tap Add, at the bottom right and tap Folder.

3. Enter a name for the folder.

4. Click on Create and you are done!

Google Drive: Move a file or a folder

1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com.

2. Right-click the item you want to move.

3. Click Move to…

4. Choose or create a folder, then click Move.

On Android, iPhone or iPad

1. On your Android phone or tablet, iPhone or iPad open the Google Drive app.

2. Next to the file you want to copy, click More and then Move.

3. Choose the folder, then tap Move here.

Google Drive: Make a copy of a file

1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com.

2. Right-click a file.

3. Click Make a copy.

On iPhone or iPad:

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Drive app.

2. Next to the file you want to copy, click More .

3. Tap Make a copy. It can be noted that you can't copy folders, only files.

Google Drive: Delete a file or folder

1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com. Right-click the file or folder you want to delete and click on Remove.

2. On your Android phone or tablet, iPhone or iPad open the Google Drive app. Next to the file you want to delete, click More and tap Remove.

Google Drive: Change the color of your folder

You can customize the color of folders and shortcuts to folders in your My Drive and shared drives. If you change any colors, it only applies to your view in Drive.

On your computer, go to drive.google.com. Right-click the folder you want to change and then click Change color and choose the color you want.

On your Android phone or tablet, iPhone or iPad, open the Google Drive app. Next to the folder you want to change, tap More and then Change color. Choose the color you want.
