Do you struggle while toggling between multiple apps or windows? This can be confusing and very time-consuming, making your task that much harder to complete. Well, you could change that in your favour thanks to Windows 11 which offers a smart feature to boost your productivity and enable multitasking. We are referring to the Windows 11 Split Screen feature on your PC. Know ho to come to grips with it.

First of all, this split-screen feature is now known as Snap windows. Split Screen or Snap windows simply means dividing your screen into dual or multiple sections to use several apps at the same time without having to shuffle between apps to complete your work. You can divide the screen of your computer or laptop having Windows 11. Each splitter part can be used by an app that you want to open. This feature has been available for a long time, but with a very limited number of smaller screens.

Windows 11 now brings new split-screen options that let you use more than two screens together. You can have a maximum of four app windows at a time and even six, if you've got a high-resolution display, each having a defined section of the screen. If you are looking forward to making your work easier and avoiding toggling between apps, then know how to use the Split Screen or Snap windows feature on Windows 11.

How to use Windows 11 Split Screen

Step 1:

To use the split-screen on Windows 11, first open Settings on your system.

Step 2:

Now go to the System tab.

Step 3:

Then, click on the Multitasking tab.

Step 4:

After that, tap on the Snap Windows option and enable it by toggling between on or off. 

Step 5:

You will need to hover over the maximize button. This will now show you a variety of snap layout options to choose. 

Step 6:

Simply select any one of the mentioned layouts and your screen will be rearranged accordingly to that. The layouts are: Dual screen in 50:50 ratio, Dual screen in 80:20 ratio, triple screen, and four screens.
