Apple just killed off this iPhone feature in iPhone 15

The infamous notch, first introduced in the iPhone X will reportedly be scrapped for a new feature on the iPhone 15. Previous iPhones have all featured the notch but a replacement feature is being lined up by Apple.

In spite of the upcoming iPhone 14 launch in around September or October, the most awaited feature will actually debut with its successor, the iPhone 15. Apparently, Apple has stopped working on its under-display fingerprint sensor technology for iPhone 14, according to LeaksApplePro. (REUTERS)

According to a report by GizChina, Apple will be diverting its resources towards researching and enhancing its Face ID and under-display camera technology, which will enable the company to remove the notch altogether. (ConceptiPhone)

Coming to the iPhone 14, it is speculated that it will have a modification of a notch display in two smaller cutouts- one like classic punch-hole shape and another a center pill-shaped punch-hole design. (Apple )

With the release of iOS 15.4 beta version, Apple brought a new feature that enables Face ID unlocking even with a mask on. However all this information should be taken with a pinch of salt as it is based on speculation , and until we hear something from Apple officially, all of these features remain unconfirmed.
