iPhone 13 Make-in-India boost for Apple!

Apple iPhone production grew by almost 50 percent in Q1 of 2022. India has always been an attractive market for smartphone companies, and Apple’s sales have been growing each year despite the increase in iPhone prices.

A report by Business Standard states that Apple shipped nearly 1 million ‘make-in-India’ iPhones in the country in the first quarter of 2022, a massive jump of 50 per cent (year-on-year) in iPhone shipments from within the country. (Apple)

The statement given by Prabhu Ram, Head- Industry Intelligence Group at CMR, to IANS, said, “The contribution of newer generation iPhones, such as iPhone 13, is almost equal to iPhone 12.” (Apple)
