Telegram rolls out in-app video editor, updates two-step verification and more
Telegram has also added the ability to add animated stickers on photos which turns them into GIFs.
Telegram has rolled out an in-app video editor which offers various customisations and features. Telegram also updated its two-step verification and the cache memory management tool.
Telegram already has an in-app photo editor, and users can now edit videos on the messaging app. It's got the basic video editing tools along with support for animated stickers and GIFs. Some of its editing tools lets you enhance the video quality by adjusting the brightness or saturation.
You can also add animated stickers to any photo or video. Putting one on a photo turns it into a GIF. Telegram has also updated its GIF panel with the addition of a ‘Trending' section and emoji-based tabs. The GIF loading time has also been improved so it should be faster now.
More features on Telegram include flexibility in using folders. You can now add any chat to a folder by holding on to the chat. This works for removing chats from folders as well.
Android users on Telegram get some exclusive features. The chat panel has been upgraded with new smooth animations for messages sent, edited and deleted. The video editor has also been improved so that controls and long captions are removed quickly.
As for videos that are shorter than 30 seconds, they will get looped automatically. Voice messages also now play with more wavy animations. The cache management tool on Android has been revamped with better animations.
On the two-step verification method, Telegram has extended it for switching to a new device. Now users who have two-factor verification enabled will have to provide the password while moving to a different device.
