Uttar Pradesh Government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that the state government will be distributing smartphones and tablets for free among youth of the state under UP smartphone, tablet distribution scheme. According to a report by Krishi Jagran many students have applied under the scheme and are eagerly waiting for the UP free smartphones, tablets yojana distribution date to arrive. Notably, the Yogi govt has a plan to provide free smartphones and tablets to the youth from the second week of December, 2021.

For this, a portal named DG Shakti has been created, which will soon be launched by CM Adityanath. According to a government statement, smartphones and tablets will be distributed through this portal and information regarding future studies will also be provided to students.

It has been planned to supply at around 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones in the first lot of the distribution. It can be noted that it has been decided to distribute these devices in order to provide students with the required gadgets so that they can study without any hindrances due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, all facets of education have moved online in the last 2 years with the help of smartphones, laptops, tablets etc. Hence it was important to distribute these gadgets to the students in need.

The online registration process is expected to start soon after the second week of December. Also, it can be noted that the registration link will be activated by or after the second week of December.

DG Shakti portal

DG Shakti portal will soon be launched by the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. As per the information available, with the help of this portal, it will be easy to maintain distribution data of smartphones and tablets. It can be noted that the state government will sponsor the entire cost involved, from registration to delivery of smartphones and tablets.
