India Post Recruitment 2022: India Post, Ministry of Communications Department of Posts has invited job applications for filling up 24 vacancies of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) (General Central Service, Gr-C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in the office of the Senior Manager (JAG), Mail Motor Service, Chennai. It can be noted that the pay for the post will be provided based on the Level 2 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th Pay Commission (7th CPC) which is Rs. 19,900.

Candidates who are eligible and interested in the post will be able to apply for the same by visiting the official website of India Post at indiapost.gov.in. India Post Recruitment 2022: Eligibility

1. Deputation/Absorption of the officials in the Department of Posts: From amongst the regular Dispatch Rider (Group C) and Group C employees in the Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1800 (Level 1 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th Central Pay Commission) in the Department of Posts who possess a valid Driving Licence for light and heavy Motor Vehicles and on the basis of a Driving test to assess the competence to drive light and heavy motor vehicles.

2. Other Ministries of the Central Government and Armed Forces Personnel: From the officials holding the post of Dispatch Rider on a regular basis or regular Group C employees in Pay Band-1, rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800 (Level 1 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) who fulfill the necessary qualifications as under:

Necessary qualifications

Step 1:

Possession of a valid Driving Licence for light and heavy motor vehicles.

Step 2:

Knowledge of Motor mechanism (The candidates should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle).

Step 3:

Experience in Driving Light and Heavy motor vehicles for at least three years.

Step 4:

Pass in 10th Standard from a recognized Board or Institute.
