Microsoft’s powerful Surface Book 2, Surface Laptop launched in India: Price, full specifications

The devices are available for sale on Microsoft Store, Amazon and Flipkart, besides offline stores such as Croma and Vijay Sales.

Microsoft on Tuesday announced the launch of its Surface Book 2 and Surface Laptop in India. The devices are available for sale on Microsoft Store, Amazon and Flipkart, besides offline stores such as Croma and Vijay Sales.

Surface Book 2 is available in India at a starting price of ₹1,37,000. It goes up to ₹2,95,999 for the top-end model. Surface Laptop is available at a starting price of ₹86,999. The top-end model comes for ₹2,39,999.

Microsoft's Surface Book 2 is available in 13.5-inch and 15-inch display with PixelSense technology and resolution up to 3240x2160 resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, 10-point multi-touch and ink support.

In terms of performance, the Surface Book 2 comes with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor, 4.2GHz Max Turbo and up to 16GB of RAM. For graphics, Surface Book 2 comes with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 discrete GPU w/6GB GDDR5 graphics memory. The device runs on Windows 10 Pro Creators Update (64-bit) along with Office 30-day trial. Storage options are available between 256GB, 512GB and 1TB PCIe SSD.

The laptop has a 5.0MP front-facing camera with 1080p HD video recording support and an 8.0MP rear-facing autofocus camera. It also has front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium and Windows Sonic support for headphones.

Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Wireless 4.1 technology and Xbox Wireless (only for the 15-inch model). Hardline connectivity options include 2 x USB type-A (version 3.1 Gen 1), 1 x USB type-C (version 3.1 Gen 1 with USB Power Delivery revision 3.0), 3.5mm headphone jack, 2 x Surface Connect ports, and full-size SDXC card reader.

Microsoft claims that the device can deliver up to 17 hours of video playback.

Surface Laptop
The laptop comes with 13.5-inch display with PixelSense technology, 201ppi pixel density, and 10-point multi-touch support. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

It runs on 7th Generation Intel Core m3, i5 and i7 processors with 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB RAM. The laptop is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB SSD storage options. Surface Laptop has a 720p HD front-facing camera.

In terms of ports, it has a USB 3.0, 3.5mm Headset jack, mini DisplayPort and Surface Connect. Wireless options include Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1.
