Xiaomi’s India head reveals more features of upcoming Redmi TVs ahead of India launch
One can also assume the new TVs to run Xiaomi’s PatchWall OS.
Xiaomi has already confirmed that it's Redmi-branded TVs are launching in India on March 17. While a lot about the product coming to the country are under wraps, a recent tweet by company's India head, Manu Kumar Jain, gave us some tidbits on what to expect. Besides teasing the ‘XL Experience', the tweet cements the speculation that Redmi is only bringing the big-screen variants here. It means that the lineup might include TVs with 55-inch screen size (or higher). However, the tweet adds the upcoming TVs to feature Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Vivid Picture Engine, indirectly confirming that the models will support 4K resolution.
Although there is a short video teaser as well, it doesn't reveal much about the product except for some hints on the design. We are expecting the TVs to be priced lower than others in the class, considering Redmi is Xiaomi's more ‘affordable' brand. However, we can only be sure once the firm has launched the new TVs.
Mi Fans, excited to share that @RedmiIndia's 1st #SmartTV will pack the most amazing XL visual experience ever! 🤩
