Misplacement and mix-ups of products have always been a sad reality of online delivery websites. You must have heard of shocking incidents when buyers have received the wrong products. This time, in a bizarre incident, Alan Wood, 61, a retired IT manager from the UK, spent £1200 on an Apple MacBook Pro, but Amazon sent him two packets of Pedigree dog food. As per a report by Metro.co.uk, the former IT manager placed the order on November 29 for next-day delivery. While opening the package he was shocked to see the dog food inside it. He immediately contacted Amazon but they refused to refund the money.
"This has been an extremely stressful situation, especially in my circumstance, and the way I've been treated has put me off ordering from them ever again," Metro.co.uk quoted Alan. In fact, in a bizarre turn of events, he claimed that Amazon asked him to return the laptop to receive the amount, which he never received! He even sent back the dog food to the warehouse, but that effort went in vain too as every conversation ended the same way.
Later, he had to take help from the press and they contacted Amazon.
