Realme Book Slim India launch date confirmed; event to be live streamed on YouTube, Facebook

Realme has confirmed the India launch date of its Realme Book Slim. The thin and light laptop is all set to be launched in India in a week.

Realme Book Slim is all set to be launched in India on August 18, which is just a week away. The new laptop will be a part of the Realme Book series. It will be announced next Wednesday at 12:30 PM. The event will be streamed live on Realme's social media platforms, YouTube and Facebook.

The Realme Book Slim was recently teased by company CEO Madhav Sheth. It is unclear if it will be a toned-down version or an upgraded model of the Realme Book. The company official also teased a feature called ‘PC Connect' to work with the laptop and Realme phones. There hasn't been an explanation of the feature. However, we expect it to allow users to interact with their Realme phones via the laptop.

Realme has shared some official teasers of the upcoming laptop, which reveals some of its specifications. Realme TechLife recently took to Twitter to reveal support for USB Type-C charging on the Realme Book Slim.

As per the official information, the upcoming laptop is confirmed to come in three colour variants. The Realme Book Slim could be made available in Real Apricot, Real Blue, and Real Grey colour options. Moreover, some key specifications of the device have already leaked online.

The Realme Book Slim is expected to feature a 14-inch 2K (2,160x1,440 pixels) display with a peak brightness of 300 nits and blue light certification. It could be powered by the Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU with Intel's Iris Xe graphics. The laptop is tipped to offer up to 16GB RAM and 512GB PCIe storage. Plus, it is said to come with dual Harmon Kardon speakers and a triple microphone array. It is also touted to include a backlit keyboard, which isn't present on the Xiaomi offerings, and a trackpad with Windows precision drivers. Plus, it is rumoured to sport a fingerprint sensor.

The Realme Book Slim connectivity options might include a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, two USB 3.1 Type-C ports with support for PD, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is tipped to pack a 54Whr battery with support for 65W fast charging. The thin and light laptop is touted to weigh just 1.3kg.

Realme Book Slim India price is expected to be around ₹55,000. However, there is no official information on the pricing details yet.
