Apple had just begun selling the iPhone 13 last week when it was virtually inundated by complaints. Buyers were not being able to sync their brand new iPhone 13 with their Apple Watch. In fact, the Apple iPhone 13 bug prevented the phone from being unlocked with an Apple Watch. Something that was roundly panned. However, the problem has reportedly been fixed Friday. The Apple iPhone 13 bug fix came via the iOS 15.0.1 software update.

Why the iPhone 13 bug was a big problem

The Apple iPhone 13 bug frustrated early buyers of the new phone who had Apple Watches. They were in the habit of using the feature to bypass Face ID. Importantly, Apple iPhone Face ID could not be used properly during the Covid-19 pandemic as it does not work if the user is wearing a protective mask.

To make it easier for those people wearing masks to unlock their phones, Apple had added the feature to the iPhone and Apple Watch earlier this year.

Considering the need for it, was welcomed by owners as it allowed them to wear the mask during the pandemic and use the phone without having to take it off everytime.

Needless to say, when the iPhone 13 bug did not allow it to work, it left a trail of disappointed users.

Notably, Apple had launched the iPhone 13 series last week that consisted of the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. All the iPhones are on sale now.
