Apple iPhone launch: From event date, design, to features- Know what rumours revealed

The biggest and most awaited smartphone launch of the year is the Apple iPhone 14. Though nothing official has been announced yet, but it is expected to be launched in mid-September 2022, based on the rumours and Apple's history of launching phones. Ever since the talks of iPhone 14 has started, several leaks and reports have been circulating about the design, features, specifications and a lot more. Apple fans are already excited and are eagerly waiting for the iPhone 14 to hit the market.

Based on Apple's track record, the iPhone 14 series is likely to be launched either on the second Tuesday of September. This means that the Apple event can take place either on September 13. Apple had launched the iPhone 13 series officially on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Similarly, the preorders of iPhone 14 is expected to happen on September 9 or September 16, as Apple had started the preorder for iPhone 13 on September 17, Friday, after the launch of the phone.

However, it needs to be noted that as nothing is official, the above mentioned dates are mere expectations and can change to any other month and date. It is also possible the different models of iPhone 14 series can have different release dates. It can be noted here that Apple is expected to launch 4 iPhone 14 models namely Phone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

While talking about the design and other features and specifications, here is all we know so far according to the leaks and rumours:

1. iPhone 14 design: Rumours and leaks have been claiming that the iPhone 14 will almost look identical to its predecessor, the iPhone 13. According to a report by Forbes, iPhone 14 is likely to get one surprising upgrade too, that is it will come with Samsung's ‘M12 OLED material set' display tech. According to a report from Forbes, "Industry display specialist Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), revealed that Samsung's ‘M12 OLED material set' display tech is coming to all iPhone 14 models." Even earlier, a report from The Elec also informed that the M12 was under consideration by Apple.

2. iPhone 14 battery: The iPhone 14 Pro is said to charge 50 percent of its battery in 16 minutes. According to the information provided by iHacktu ileaks, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to provide an additional 2 hours 10 minutes of extra battery backup along with fast charging capability. iHacktu ileaks had informed earlier that A16 has 42 percent and 35 percent faster CPU and GPU performance respectively compared to A15.

Meanwhile, another tipster @VNchocoTaco has informed about the battery capacity the iPhone 14 models will be having. According to the leak iPhone 14 Pro is expected to get a 3200mAh battery, iPhone 14 3279mAh, iPhone 14 Pro Max 4323mAh, and iPhone 14 Max is expected to get the biggest battery of 4325mAh!

3. iPhone 14 cameras: The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will have sizable camera bumps as the dimensions of the camera bulge will increase because of the rumoured new 48MP camera sensor. It has further been reported that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will come with comparatively smaller camera bumps and dual camera system compared to that of the Pro variants which will have three cameras. The Pro models are also likely to get pill and hole cutouts in the display rather than a notch.
