iPhone users report a green tint on display, unclear what’s causing it
Apple’s iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max users have reported encountering a random green tint on their display. Right now, it is unclear what is causing the problem.

Many iPhone 11 users are reporting a strange green tint on the screen when they unlock the phone. The issue is occurring mainly on iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max models. But some iPhone X and iPhone XS users have also reported the problem.
It appears that nobody really knows why this issue is occurring. According to some users, the green tint appears when they have enabled Dark Mode or Night Shift. For some users, the tint is appearing when they have set the brightness to the lowest.
Some say the issue had existed since the iOS 13.4.1 update. According to MacRumours, Apple's recent iOS 13.4.1, iOS 13.5, and iOS 13.5.1 versions have this problem.
“About 25% of the time when I unlock my launch day iPhone 11 Pro the screen looks all washed out with a green tint. After about 3 seconds it flashes back to normal. Anyone ever have this happen or know if this is a problem on iPhone 11s? I should probably do a restore / set up as new but I'm trying to avoid that if possible,” a user posted on MacRumors forum.

Another user wrote on Reddit: “I'm not sure with that 13.4 thing because I would say it is happening on all iOS 13 versions. Because I see this every f-ing night. But not sure If It was happening before 13.4 or after but for sure it's there for a long time already. And no one talked about it since recent days.”

Green tint: A familiar issue
It is not the first time a green tint on a phone has appeared. Earlier this year, Google released January 2020 Patch to fix a similar green tint problem in Pixel 4. The tint on Pixel 4 occurred on some models when the user set the brightness at 40% or lower. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra users reported an uneven green tint after one of the firmware updates in April this year.
