Moto Edge+ to launch in India on May 19, Flipkart teaser reveals

Motorola's flagship smartphone with a 108-megapixel camera is coming to India soon.

Motorola's India head announced last month the Moto Edge+ will be launching in the country soon. A new Flipkart teaser now reveals the launch date for the Moto Edge+.

Flipkart's mobile app has listed Moto Edge+ under upcoming launches. Here, it's shown that Moto Edge+ will be unveiled in India on May 19 at 12:30 pm. This also confirms the smartphone will be exclusive to Flipkart. Motorola recently started the sales for its foldable Razr phone on Flipkart and other offline platforms as well.

As for the Moto Edge+, it's the company's new flagship phone with a curved all-screen display. There's a punch-hole camera on top of the display which is a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It is also fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery.

In the photography department, Moto Edge+ sports a triple rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS and a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens. The punch-hole camera is a 25-megapixel sensor for selfies.

Moto Edge+ is expected to compete with Xiaomi Mi 10, Samsung Galaxy S20 and iPhone 11 Pro when it launches in India. In the US it carries an expensive price tag of $999 which translates to roughly ₹77,000.
