Redmi 9 Power to go on sale today in India
Redmi 9 Power starts at ₹9,999, and it comes with a 6,000mAh battery, four rear cameras and more.
Xiaomi's latest budget phone in India, Redmi 9 Power, will go on sale today for the first time. The smartphone will be available online on Amazon and mi.com, and offline as well. Redmi 9 Power launched in India last week as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 4G.
Redmi 9 Power starts at ₹10,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone also comes with 128GB storage and this variant is priced at ₹11,999. The sale is scheduled to start at 12 noon today, and the phone can be purchased offline from Mi Homes, Mi Studios and Mi Stores. Redmi 9 Power comes in four colour options of blue, green, red and black.
Redmi 9 Power features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Under the hood of the phone runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 662 processor paired with Adreno 610 GPU. It also has a microSD card slot for expandable storage up to 512GB.
The smartphone has a quad-camera setup at the rear featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It sports an 8-megapixel front camera.
The Redmi 9 Power packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Xiaomi is also shipping a 22.5W charger with the smartphone in India. On the software front, Redmi 9 Power runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box. Its connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone also has an IR blaster.
