When clicking someone’s portrait, you can use the Cover Display to show them a tiny preview of the photo. Samsung's latest ad mocks Apple users again. (Amritanshu / HT Tech)

Samsung does not spare an opportunity to mock Apple and its iPhones. This year, the focus is on the foldable Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Samsung is trying its best to portray it as the cooler alternative to the iPhone. The last few adverts urged users to jump off the fence and go for the Samsung flip phone. The latest one does it again, asking people to check out the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and making it clear at the same time – people are going to notice your cool flip phone.

That seems too far fetched, considering Samsung has been selling its flip phones for a while and not many people take notice. We have been daily-ing our Galaxy Z Flip 4 for months now and nobody looks at the phone getting all excited. Nonetheless, Samsung says that the Flip 4 will get people to take notice of your smartphone and people are going to be around you. And, you need to get used to it.

Samsung mocks iPhone users again

In the advertisement, Samsung eventually shows the guy switching to the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and he flips open the phone. Samsung also says that it is time to get off the fence, since “The Galaxy Awaits You”. Phew!

Not sure which
mobile to buy?

Nonetheless, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is currently the only flip phone you can buy at the moment. The Flip 4, compared to its rival – the iPhone 14, is a much better smartphone to use. The Flip 4 has a larger 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The phone also has a 1.9-inch Cover Display on the outside used to show widgets, notifications, and make for a compact viewfinder to be used for the main cameras.

The cameras themselves feature two 12MP sensors, both of which can be used for selfies. The Flip 4 also has good enough battery life and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, thereby covering the performance front.

Samsung has already updated the Flip 4 to One UI 5 based on Android 13, and the phone will get 3 more Android OS updates. That's not matching 5-6 years of software support on iPhones but it might be enough for those not worrying about the green bubbles.
