Mangalyaan-2
As reported by the Hindustan Times, Mangalyaan-2 mission payloads are four in number and are aimed at unlocking the mysteries of Mars. Among these is the Mars Orbit Dust Experiment (MODEX), which has been designed to delve into the origin, abundance, distribution, and flux of interplanetary dust at high altitudes on the Martian surface. Another key Mangalyaan-2 mission objective is the Radio Occultation (RO) experiment, operating with an X-band frequency microwave transmitter. Its primary objective is to measure neutral and electron density profiles in the Martian atmosphere, offering valuable insights into the behavior of Mars. (NASA)

Moon to Mars mission
To gain a better understanding of the Martian atmosphere and the factors contributing to its gradual loss, ISRO plans to develop an Energetic Ion Spectrometer (EIS). This instrument will focus on characterizing solar energy particles and supra-thermal solar wind particles within the Martian environment. (NASA)

Furthermore, Mangalyaan-2 will feature a Langmuir Probe and Electric Field Experiment (LPEX), which will enable the measurement of critical parameters such as electron number density, electron temperature, and electric field waves. These measurements will paint a more comprehensive picture of the plasma environment surrounding Mars. Mangalyaan-2 mission will enhance the understanding of ISRO scientists about Mars even further.
