Vivo is a Chinese electronics firm founded by Shen Wei in 2009. It is headquartered in Dongguan. Viv...o designs and sells smartphones, software, and phone accessories, and is owned by BBK Electronics. The Vivo X1, the world's first smartphone with a built-in dedicated Hi-Fi audio amplifier, was introduced to India's smartphone market in 2012. The Vivo X5 Max, billed as the world's thinnest smartphone at the time, debuted in 2014.
Vivo sponsors a number of international sporting events. In 2015, the firm signed a two-year deal to become the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket event, which began in 2016. The sponsorship was extended until 2022 after the arrangement was renewed in 2017. In the same year, the firm signed an agreement with FIFA to be the official smartphone brand sponsor of the FIFA World Cups in 2018 and 2022. In addition, the corporation became a title sponsor of the Pro Kabaddi League in India.
It was the first smartphone maker to show off an in-display fingerprint sensor, which was later adopted by the majority of smartphone manufacturers. With the debut of the VivoNex in 2018, the business was also the first to deploy the motorised pop-up camera module in a smartphone. The Nex Dual Display design, which featured a secondary OLED panel on the rear, was unveiled in 2019.
Vivo Y21, which is the company’s latest offering, is priced at Rs. 15,490. It comes in two colours and has an 8.0mm ultra-slim body. It comes with 5000mAh Battery and 18W Fast Charge technology.
