HBO will no longer be available on Amazon Prime Video channels from next year
WarnerMedia, HBO’s owner, and Amazon have finally come to an agreement that will bring HBO Max to Amazon Fire TV devices. This decision has come in almost six months after HBO Max was launched.
However, as a part of the agreement, Amazon will be removing HBO from Amazon’s Prime Video Channels selection from next year, as per reports.
Amazon Prime Video Channels lets users subscribe to individual streaming channels for a monthly fee and you can watch all of these on Amazon. The HBO on the Prime Video Channel is different from the HBO Max. HBO Max comes with all things a normal HBO subscription offers along with additional movies, original series and shows.

WarnerMedia is trying to build a subscriber base for HBO Max and thus the company wants to remove some avenues that allow people to watch the normal HBO channel online - like Amazon Prime Video Channels.
HBO going off the Amazon Prime Video Channels is not the first time that WarnerMedia has removed HBO from the a la carte channels platform. The company pulled off HBO from Apple TV Channels the day HBO Max was launched in May.
