A few days ago, at the time of the Realme C11 budget smartphone launch, we got Realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth to exclusively talk about the future products and premium smartphones as well. Sheth confirmed that Realme is open to launching high-end smartphones if the fans and customer ask for it. However, its not just the phones but the TV segment as well where Realme is planning to enter the ‘premium' market. Talking to HT Tech, Sheth confirmed that there are indeed plans to launch smart TVs among other products.

“…We will be very soon introducing more cool products in our Smart Speaker category, along with more stylish smartwatches, high-end TVs and smarter headphones, and various accessories ranging from in-car chargers, backpacks to stylish luggage cases, and smart home gadgets,” said Sheth to HT Tech.

Although he didn't go into the details, the company spokesperson separately told HT Tech about the upcoming high-end TV that Realme plans to launch in India. “We are not limiting ourself in budget segment, we are planning to launch flagship level TV with industry leading Audio and Picture quality,” said the spokesperson.

It was confirmed that the firm's upcoming TV will have a 55-inch screen size with 4K resolution.

“We will be launching a brand new 55-inch size TV with 4K resolution soon to give our customers more exhilarating experience,” added the spokesperson.

Talking about the trend that Realme has observed in tier 1 and tier 2 cities, the spokesperson confirmed that more families have started buying 43-inch TVs because of several factors like increased consumption and most content available in FHD resolution.

“Since almost everyone has been at their home for more than three months now, the volume for TV consumption has increased. Families want more than one or two TVs in their homes so that everyone can consume content on a larger screen. Also, the OTT content consumption levels have seen an impressive upsurge and more people are going online to stream content available on OTT platforms, and are consuming this content on their Smart TV's/TV's. A major portion of this content is available in FHD quality, which can most thoroughly be enjoyed only on a smart TV larger than 43 inch. All these factors have led to consumers buying more 43 inch TVs, which is the ideal size for a family and has seen massive sales in the past few month,” said the spokesperson to HT Tech.

For now, the company has launched two TVs in India with 43-inch and 32-inch screen sizes. The 43-inch Realme Smart TV is priced at 21,999 while the 32-inch model costs 12,999.
