Xiaomi launches new home security camera, Mi Smart Clock outside China

The firm has not yet revealed the details on their availability. It is also not for sure when these two will be entering the Indian market.

The year 2021 has just started and Xiaomi seems to be already in a launching spree. After announcing a couple of handsets, the Chinese tech firm has now launched its Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K Pro and Mi Smart Clock in the European market. The security camera is priced at EUR 59.99, while the smart clock is priced at EUR 49.99. The firm has not yet revealed the details on their availability. It is also not for sure when these two will be entering the Indian market. 

The Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K Pro comes with a 6P lens and F/1.4 aperture. It has 360-degree pan-tilt-zoom capabilities and can record a video in 1,296p resolution. In addition, it has 180-degree wide viewing angle along with a 940nm infrared light sensor for low light recordings. 

Furthermore, the security camera features real time voice calling using its dual microphones, along with Active Noise Reduction technology. What's more is that the camera comes with a privacy mode and you can also use the My Home app to enable the physical shield, wherein the camera lens automatically rotates downwards.

As for the Mi Smart Clock, the device comes with a 3.97-inch colour display and a touchscreen support. With Google Assistant and inbuilt Chromecast support, this IoT device also supports music streaming and can show the footage recorded by Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K Pro. Besides this, it has a sunrise alarm along with a digital photo frame feature.

This news comes shortly after Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 9T and Redmi 9T globally. Both the new Redmi smartphones are rebranded versions of the existing Redmi Note 9 series in China. Redmi Note 9T starts at EUR 229 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.  Redmi 9T comes in three storage options, and at a starting price of EUR 159.
