Reliance Jio is reportedly planning to replicate the success of its affordable JioPhone in India by bringing a budget laptop priced under $184 (approx. Rs. 15000). The device is speculated to even have an embedded 4G SIM card. The company owned by Mukesh Ambani has partnered with global giants Microsoft and Qualcomm to bring the laptop, speculated to be known as the JioBook. Reuters has cited two sources as saying that the JioBook laptop will use the chips from Qualcomm based on technology from Arm Ltd, and for software support, it will rely on the JioOS operating system and there will be Microsoft supported apps also.
