Motorola launches Edge S Pro, its thinnest and lightest 5G phone yet; check price and specs

Motorola back in January this year launched a Moto Edge series smartphone. The phone dubbed as the Motorola Edge S was launched in three variants, which included a 6GB+128GB variant, an 8GB+128GB variant and an 8GB+256GB variant. These smartphones were launched at a starting price of CNY 1,999 ( ₹22,548 approx.). Today, the company launched the Pro version of its Motorola Edge S smartphone called the Motorola Edge S Pro in China. It has been billed as the company's thinnest and lightest 5G mobile phone yet. It was launched alongside the Motorola Edge Lite Luxury Edition smartphone via a special event today.

Motorola Edge S Pro price and availability: The Motorola Edge S Pro comes in four variants. While the 6GB+128GB version is priced at CNY 2,499 ( ₹28,660 approx.), the 8GB+128GB version is priced at CNY 2,699 ( ₹30,949 approx.), the 8GB+256GB version costs CNY 2,999 ( ₹34,389 approx.) and the top variant with 12GB+256GB variant costs CNY 3,299 ( ₹37,835 approx.). This newly launched smartphone is already available for pre-orders in the country and it will go on sale starting August 10.

Motorola Edge S Pro specs: GizmoChina reports that the newly launched Motorola Edge S Pro smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a screen refresh rate of 144Hz. It comes with a centered punch hole and sports HDR10+ technology with DCI-P3 colour gamut. Coming to the processing power, the Motorola Edge S Pro smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC that is coupled with up to 12GB of Turbo LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of Turbo UFS 3.1 storage space. It runs on Android 11-based MYUI 2.0.

On the camera front, the phone features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom, and a 16MP ultra-wide angle camera. On the front, the Motorola Edge S Pro smartphone has a 32MP selfie camera.

On the battery front, the Motorola Edge S Pro smartphone has a 4,520mAh with support for 30W TurboPower fast charging technology.
