Realme VP teases smartphone with under-display camera tech
Realme’s vice president and president of global marketing Xu Qi shared a photo on Weibo that shows a notchless display on a smartphone.
For smartphone makers, the pop-up camera module seems to be a done and dusted concept as companies are looking to move towards under-display camera technology to be able to offer users a full-screen device.
As Gizmochina says, ZTE has already launched the world's first smartphone with an under-display camera - the ZTE Axon 20 5G. Both Xiaomi and Oppo are working on similar smartphones too, and now Realme has joined in.

We do need to take this picture with a pinch of salt though since Xu Qi has not explicitly mentioned that the phone he is showing is one of Realme's. However, in the comments on the same post Qi has posted selfies and confirmed the absence of a pop-up camera.
In the recent past, Qi had teased a new flagship device from the company that is most likely powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 875. This also comes at a point when there are reports doing the rounds about Oppo having killed off the Ace line-up of smartphones and will be replacing that with a new series under the Realme brand.
