Redmi 9 Prime to go on sale today at 12 noon, all you need to know

Redmi 9 Prime comes with MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset, a quad rear camera setup and 4GB of RAM.

Xiaomi's budget smartphone, Redmi 9 Prime can be purchased today in India. The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale later today at 12 noon.

Redmi 9 Prime is priced at 9,999 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage capacity. It has a 128GB variant as well which is priced at 11,999. Redmi 9 Prime will go on sale today at 12 pm via Amazon India, and mi.com. The smartphone comes in four colour options of Matte Black, Mint Green, Space Blue, and Sunrise Flare.

In terms of specs, Redmi 9 Prime features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass layered on top. Under its hood runs MediaTek's Helio G80 chipset paired with ARM Mali-G52 GPU for graphics. Red4mi 9 Prime also comes with P2i coating for splash resistance.

The smartphone sports a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 13-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies.

Redmi 9 Prime is fuelled by a 5,020mAh battery with support for up to 18W fast charging. Xaomi claims the phone can last for up to two days on a single charge. Connectivity options on the Redmi 9 Prime include USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual SIM support.

The smartphone also has a rear fingerprint sensor. On the software front, Redmi 9 Prime runs MIUI-based on Android 10 which brings system-wide dark mode.
