Redmi K30s launched (Xiaomi)

Redmi K30s has gone official. The latest handset joins Xiaomi's K-series of phones which features the likes of Redmi K30, K30 Pro, K30 Pro Zoom Edition, K30i, and K30 Ultra. The Redmi K30s is priced at 2,299 Yuan, which is ₹25,000 approximately. The top-end model comes for 2,499 Yuan ( ₹27,000 approx.). The phone will go on sale in China on November 11 as part of the Singles' Day sales.

Redmi K30s looks identical to some of the recently launched Redmi and Xiaomi phones. It has a full-screen display on the front with a punch-hole camera on the top left corner. The back panel houses a rectangular camera module that also houses an LED flash. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Redmi K30s full specifications

Redmi K30s comes with a 6.67-inch full HD+ resolution with 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR 10+ support, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also supports 144Hz refresh rate. The display features MEMC technology and delivers up to 650 nits of brightness.

On the software front, it runs on MIUI 12. For performance, Redmi K30s runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. The chipset is coupled with up to 8GB of LPPDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone does not come with a microSD card slot for expandable storage. A 5,000mAh battery powers the phone. It also comes with a 33W fast charger.

In the camera department, Redmi K30s has 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 main camera with f/1.89 aperture, 13-megapixel ultrawide lens (123-degree field-of-view) and 5-megapixel macro sensor. The rear camera supports full HD slow-motion videos and up to 8K videos.

Other features of Redmi K30s include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 5G, and dual-frequency GPS. The phone also comes with dual linear stereo speakers.

As of now, there is no word on when the phone will be released in India. According to Gizmochina, Redmi K30s is a rebranded version of Mi 10T that launched in India recently. Mi 10T is available for a starting price of ₹35,999.
