Xiaomi's upcoming Mi Mix 4 is one of the most awaited smartphones in the market. And ever since the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 became official, rumours and leaks have been all over social media and it's gotten people all the more excited. Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is launching today (August 10) at 7:30 PM CST (approximately 6 AM on August 11 for us) and so far we've seen multiple teasers of the device. So, while we wait for the smartphone to drop, here's what we know about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 so far.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4: What to expect
According to the promo poster spotted in a retail store in China the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 sports a full-screen display that's without a notch or bezels. The smartphone is expected to come with an in-screen camera and curved edges. According to leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 should come with a 6.67-inch OLED display with Full HD+ (1800 x 2400 pixels) resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is also expected to come with 10bit colour depth and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection.
For cameras, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 has a huge camera module on the back with three cameras. According to older leaks, the rear camera set-up comprises of a 50MP Samsung GN1, a 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto periscope camera system. However, more recent leaks claim that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 should come with a 108MP primary shooter on the back.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 was spotted on Geekbench recently with model number 2106118C. According to that listing, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is coming with Snapdragon 888+ under the hood clocked at up to 3.00 GHz. The listing revealed a 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is expected to come with a base configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. There is also going to be a higher 512GB storage variant available.
As per the 3C certifications, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is going to come with a 4,500mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging support. According to reports, it may also come with 50W wireless charging support.
A tipster revealed that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will come with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and given that MIUI 13 is not launching any time soon, as per Xiaomi's PR department, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 should come with MIUI 12.5. It is also expected to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers, along with mmWave 5G and UWB support.
We know nothing about the price of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 yet, but expect it to be premium, flagship-level. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was launched in China in March this year priced at the $1,000 range, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 should cost more. As per the leaked poster, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 may come in a green-gray colour variant along with standard colours like Ceramic Black and Ceramic White.
