Samsung puts a TIGER in the City! Is it taunting Apple and its iPhone 13?
Samsung teases top night mode camera performance for its upcoming Galaxy S22 series flagships.
Samsung puts a tiger in the city! In one of its latest promotional efforts, Samsung has been putting up a 3D tiger in several cities to promote the night mode photo capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. A 3D virtual tiger looks over from the billboard and tries to scare away the fireflies who obviously stay in a “Galaxy” formation. Samsung does not use a single text throughout the teaser.
However, this could be a hint at what the Galaxy S22 Ultra's camera could do at night, especially with video recording. Samsung could be working on a Night mode for video recording and it could debut on the Galaxy S22 series. Other than this, Samsung's previous teasers have all been about night photography skills of the S22 Ultra.
Samsung puts a Tiger in the city for Galaxy S22!
It is weird that Samsung isn't talking about the biggest change to the Galaxy S22 Ultra – the inclusion of the S Pen stylus within the phone itself; something similar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra from a few years ago. The leaks have suggested that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will essentially be a Galaxy Note 22 Ultra in disguise. The S Pen is likely to stay within the silo.
However, last year's Galaxy S21 Ultra had impressed with the camera performance, narrowly beating the iPhone 13 Pro Max in terms of overall camera performance. Rumours have it that Samsung isn't changing the basic camera hardware but is instead tweaking its software to extract more performance.
A recently leaked brochure of the Galaxy S22 series confirmed support for 45W fast wired charging for the Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Ultra will also have the 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
On the other hand, the S22 and S22 Plus are more of mild updates over the Galaxy S21 duo. They look identical in their teasers and have a few minor changes. Both phones are said to use a 50MP camera sensor for the main camera, unlike the 108MP camera on the S22 Ultra. Some markets in the world will get the Exynos 2200 chipset that gets the AMD RDNA-2 based GPU, while other markets get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
