Tecno Camon 16 Premier with dual-selfie cameras launched

The smartphone will be available online through Flipkart for ₹16,999.

Tecno on Wednesday announced the launch of a new smartphone in India. Called Camon 16 Premier, the new handset is priced at ₹16,999. It comes in Glacier Silver colour option. You can purchase the phone online through Flipkart starting January 16. It will also be available through offline retail outlets.

The biggest highlight of Camon 16 Premier is a dual-selfie camera setup. The phone comes with 48-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors on the front. On the back, it sports a 64-megapixel quad-rear camera setup. The array has 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel sensor, 2-megapixel sensor, and 2-megapixel bokeh sensor.

“The new-age smartphone supports Sony IMX 686 RGB Sensor and Super Night 2.0 powered by the world's most exclusive trademark TAIVOS (TECNO AI Vision Optimization Solution) technology,” said the company in a release.

The camera also supports 4K videos at 30fps, Super Slow Motion videos at 960 FPS as well as Professional 1080P Polar Night Lens.

Tecno Camon 16 Premier comes with a 6.85-inch full HD+ display with 90% screen-to-body ratio and HDR 10+. It also supports 90HZ refresh rate.

For performance, the phone uses MediaTek Helio G90T processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage. It has a 4,500mAh battery coupled with 18W fast charging. The company says the phone battery provides a standby time of 28 days, calling time of 42 hours and music playback of 140 hours.
