A recent research report reveals the top 10 smartphones that Indian delivery partners use in their line of work. Check them out.
Recently, a CounterPoint Research report revealed some of the top selling smartphones in the world, and the list was largely dominated by the iPhones. However, have you ever wondered what phones are used the most by those whose lives literally rely on their smartphones? Yes, we are talking about your delivery partners who rely on their partner apps and maps to deliver your food, grocery and what not to your doorstep. A new research report now suggests the top smartphones in India preferred by these delivery partners.
Based on data collected by Borzo India, a delivery service, we now have an insight into the top 10 smartphones that delivery partners use in India. “Smooth functioning of these ‘tech-enabled platform apps' require a good smartphone supported by adequate RAM and Storage. Data from Borzo's fleet of 18000 + active delivery partners, which has doubled YoY, shows that Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are most popular mobile phone brands amongst delivery partners in India this year,” says the report.
Top 10 phones among Indian delivery partners in 2022
Based on the data collected, here are the top 10 smartphones delivery partners use in India.
- Xiaomi Redmi 9
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S
- Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Redmi 9 Power
- Xiaomi Redmi 9A
- Redmi Note 5 Pro
- Oppo A54
- Redmi Note 8
It is to be noted that Xiaomi dominates the list with its Redmi branded smartphones. The Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A are among the newer smartphones used by these people, whereas several older models from a few years ago are also preferred by them. What is interesting to note is that the list does not contain entrants from Samsung, Realme and Motorola – three brands that keep launching affordable smartphones more than Xiaomi does.
Also note that the data collected is from Borzo delivery partners and it does not represent the same from pan India services such as Swiggy, Amazon, Flipkart and others.
That said, the common trend observed here is that these people prefer to have the more affordable models to get their job done. The report also says that they prefer to choose their phones in a budget range of Rs. 7000 to Rs. 17000, and also prefer to have a minimum of 3GB RAM and maximum of 8GB RAM.
