Vertical charging anyone? Xiaomi Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand launched; check price and specs
Xiaomi has unveiled a new wireless charging stand with Qi charging support that can charge at a whopping 100W. Here's what you need to know about the Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand.
Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced a new wireless charger called the Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand. The company's new wireless charger has been launched as a more powerful iteration of the Mi 80W wireless charger that was announced earlier this year and should be compatible with all devices that support Qi charging.
The Chinese smartphone giant has reportedly designed the new wireless charger to allow users to place their smartphones in a vertical or horizontal orientation while wirelessly charging the battery. The charger comes with the 120W adapter and a 6A charging cable, and offers an output of 100W which is higher than its predecessor.

Xiaomi Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand price
The Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand is now available in China and is reportedly priced at CNY 599 (approximately ₹6,870) and will be sold through online channels. However, there has been no announcement regarding the global launch or availability of the Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand. The company's older Mi 80W Wireless Charging Stand retails for CNY 499 (approximately ₹5,725) in China.
Xiaomi Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand specifications
It is interesting to note that even the Mi Mix 4, Mi 11 Ultra and the Mi 11 Pro, which offer the fastest wireless charging across the company's portfolio will only be able to charge at a maximum rate of 67W (with a lower 50W rate for the Mi Mix 4). This means that the former should be able to charge fully within half an hour, according to the report.
In terms of charging safety, the report states that the Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand adds a new feature called current calibration, in addition to features like under-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, over-current protection, over-voltage protection, electrostatic protection and foreign body detection. The charging station is also angled in a way that allows vents at the bottom of the device that comes with a dynamic fan for cooling.
