Fans have been waiting for a long time for the launch of the Xiaomi 14 series and soon, they will experience the new generation of Xiaomi's premium smartphone. The launch announcement will take place on October 26, 2023, in which the Chinese company may reveal two new flagship smartphones: Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro with some massive upgrades over the predecessors. Just a few days before the official launch, Xiaomi teased the smartphone's design and confirmed the camera specs for the standard model. Know what's coming with the new Xiaomi 14 series.

According to a post shared by Xiaomi on the microblogging site Weibo, the phone's design incorporates flat edges and highlights a 6.36-inch non-curved display on the front. It is expected the smartphone will be 1.71mm thin with side bezels between 1.61-1.63mm.

In terms of Xiaomi 14's (non-pro model) camera specs, it is expected to sport a 1/1.31-inch 50MP primary sensor with 1.2um pixels and f/1.6 aperture with a Leica Summilux-branded lens on the front. As per Android Police report, the new lenses are an upgrade from Xiaomi 12 and 13 which are equipped with Summicron lenses. These changes will improve image quality as compared to its predecessor. The primary lens will be accompanied by a 14mm (0.6x) ultrawide and a 3.2x f/2.2 telephoto sensor.

As far as the Xiaomi 14 Pro camera is concerned, it is rumoured to feature a Sony IMX989 sensor and an improved telephoto lens.

According to leaks by MySmartPrice, the Xiaomi 14 is expected to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon Gen 3 coupled with 16GB RAM. Both smartphones may feature the new HyperOS. It is expected to feature a 5000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging. More details about Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will be revealed during the launch which is scheduled for October 26, 2023. Furthermore, the company will also introduce its new operating system named HyperOS which might include new features and capabilities.
