Xiaomi has scheduled an event for November 26 where it will launch the Redmi Note 9 series in China. Based on the launch teaser, Xiaomi is expected to launch three smartphones.

Xiaomi's launch announcement comes amid multiple rumours and leaks on two new Redmi Note 9 5G smartphones. Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G smartphones could make their debut at this event. The third smartphone could be a 4G smartphone. Xiaomi has also shared an image showing the design of the phone. There's a circular camera setup at the rear with four sensors, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is also seen in purple and light blue colours.

Xiaomi hasn't revealed any other detail about the new smartphones. Based on the leaks and rumours so far, Redmi Note 9 5G will come with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display, and MediaTek's Dimensity 800U chipset. It is said to come in three storage options of 4GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. Redmi Note 9 5G is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery, a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

On the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G we could see Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone is expected to house a 108-megapixel rear camera, and a 16-megapixel front camera.

Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G would be one of the most affordable 5G smartphones. Xiaomi already sells the regular Redmi Note 9 models in India, and there's no word yet on whether these phones (if launched) will make it here.
