Xiaomi to launch Redmi Note 9 on July 20: Here are all the details

Xiaomi will launch its next generation Note, that is, the Redmi Note 9 via an online event at 12PM on July 20.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 globally back in May this year. Now, the company is ready to bring its popular Redmi Note series smartphone to India. Xiaomi will launch its next generation Redmi Note 9 smartphone in India on July 20.

The phone will be launched via an online event on July 20 that will begin at 12PM. Xiaomi will live-stream the event on its India website. In addition to that, the company will also stream the event on its official Facebook and YouTube channels.

The company has been extensively teasing its upcoming Redmi Note 9 smartphone via its official social media handles. “The #UndisputedChampion, our next #MadeInIndia smartphone arrives on 20th July at 12 noon! As far features and specifications are concerned, the Redmi Note 9 comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a protective Gorilla Glass 5 covering. The global variant of the phone is powered by MediaTek's Helio G85 processor coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. However, a new report hints towards the company launching the phone with different RAM capacity in India.

Globally, the Redmi Note 9 is available in 3GB RAM + 64GB space and 4GB RAM + 128GB space variants. But now, a new report says that Xiaomi could launch the phone in 4GB RAM + 64GB storage space and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage space variants, which is similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Beyond the RAM capacity and the storage space, other specs are expected to remain unchanged. The Indian variant of the Redmi Note 9 will get a quad camera setup consisting of 48-megapixel primary sensor + 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens + 2-megapixel macro lens + 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the phone will have a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Additionally, the phone will be backed by a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging technology.
