Your iPhone and iPad have a new iOS 15 update pending! Earlier this week, Apple released the iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 update as the next version of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. Unlike the previous iOS 15.4 update, these update packages are not bringing any significant changes to the user experience. However, these updates are all about fixing some issues and introducing improvements to the devices. The update is already live and you will need to check it manually to download the patch on your device.

The iOS 15.5 update and iPadOS 15.5 update are not bringing anything new to the table. However, these devices are getting some fixes and improvements that can make the experience much better. As always, the updates are free to download and install, and Apple is rolling them out at the same time to all iPhones running on iOS 15, and iPad devices running on iPadOS 15.

iOS 15 new update is here

Here is a list of all the fixes and improvements to be found on the iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 updates

    - Wallet now enables Apple Cash customers to send and request money from their Apple Cash card

    - Apple Podcasts includes a new setting to limit episodes stored on your iPhone and automatically delete older ones

    - Fixes an issue where home automations, triggered by people arriving or leaving, may fail

Note that these fixes will be reflected in some markets only, and Indian users won’t see much changes in this regard. Apple also does not clarify whether it is bringing any improvements to the battery life and system stability.

The previous update, iOS 15.4, introduced a bigger change for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 users almost two months ago. That update patch introduced the ability to unlock their devices while wearing a face mask with the Face ID system. Previously, users had to remove their face mask in order to unlock the iPhone. Now, users need to enrol their Face ID wearing a mask and the iPhone will be able to unlock itself easily. Sadly, the feature was restricted to the iPhone 12 series and iPhone 13 series devices only. Those using the iPhone 11 series, iPhone XS and iPhone XR, and iPhone X still have to rely on others ays to unlock the devices.
