World Mental Health Day: Snapchat adds two new meditations to Headspace Mini

“Choose Kindness” and “Take on the School Year” meditations are now available in Snapchat's Headspace Mini.

Snapchat rolled out Snap Minis earlier this year for all users globally. Snap Minis are essentially small product experiences that are available within the Snapchat app. Snapchat partnered with Headspace to launch a dedicated Snap Mini on its app. It has now added two new meditations in Headspace Mini for World Mental Health Day.

The new meditations in Headspace Mini are available on Snapchat starting today. These are around 6 minutes in length and will be guided by Headspace's Director of Meditation, Eve Lewis. The first meditation is titled “Choose Kindness”, and it focuses on practicing kindness especially during times of chaos and confusion. The second meditation is titled “Take on the School Year”. This meditation focuses on navigating uncertainty at school. It is designed to help students take a breather and find a resting place.

“At Headspace, we believe that taking a small amount of time each day to take care of your mind can have a huge impact on your overall mental wellbeing. Even though we are separated from friends and family, meditation reminds us that we are all a part of a shared human experience. This is why we are so happy to deepen our partnership with Snap,” said Headspace's Eve Lewis.

Headspace Mini launched with four meditations including “Just Breathe,” “Get out of a funk,” “Kick the panic,” and “Me time.” Snapchat users can experience these quick meditation sessions with their friends within the app's chat section. It also has encouraging messages that users can send to their friends. Snapchat says that within the first month of its launch, over 5 million users engaged with Headspace Mini.
